ISO 17100:
Certified Translation Service

In August 2015, tolingo was first certified by the certification body LinquaCert according to the international standard ISO 17100.
ISO 17100 is an international quality standard for translation services, replacing the earlier DIN EN 15038. ISO standards require objective criteria to ensure translation quality. The implementation of the requirements included in the ISO standard is reviewed annually, and the certificate is confirmed.
The standard includes clear requirements for core processes, qualification, availability, and deployment of resources, as well as the activities necessary to deliver high-quality translation services.

The standard requires professional review and correction of the translation by a second native-speaking professional translator ("four-eyes principle"). ISO 18587:
Certified Post-Editing of Machine Translations

In August 2022, tolingo was first certified by the certification body LinquaCert according to ISO 18587.
This international standard complements ISO 17100, which confirms the quality of translation services. ISO 18587 sets global standards for post-editing translations by artificial intelligence (Machine Translation) and defines the necessary quality for post-editing machine-generated translations.

In September 2018, tolingo's information security management system was first certified by TÜV Süd according to ISO/IEC 27001.

The standard defines the requirements for establishing, implementing, monitoring, and improving an information security management system.
